Fonbet review 2026: we tested Greece's new bookmaker for 3 months

Three months, 140 slips, €1,420 turnover, four withdrawals. This is the most complete Fonbet review you’ll find for Greece, and we didn’t copy the company’s press release.

Short answer

Rating: 4.3 / 5. Fonbet is the most serious new entrant to the Greek market since 2020: HGC licence, odds at Stoiximan/Novibet level (better in the Champions League), a good app, fast withdrawals. The cons: limited streaming, thinner coverage of “exotic” leagues and a casino still being built.

Registration and verification

Five minutes. Tax number, ID details, mobile with SMS. KYC was done with a photo of ID and a utility bill — approved in 19 hours. Free Spins arrived immediately, the €20 Free Bet after approval. More in the registration guide.

Odds: where it’s good and where it isn’t

Champions League 1X23.9%4.7%

ATP tennis winner5.8%5.5%

On big events Fonbet is among the cheapest with a Greek licence. In small leagues you pay more.

Tools

Bet Builder in football, basketball and tennis — works live too. Cash Out full and partial. Boomerang: stake refund on 0-0 in selected matches (we used it twice, paid both times). Super Boost on 3+ pick accas. The Bet Builder guide explains all of the above.

App

iOS 4.7 / Android 4.5 in the stores. Opens in 1.5 seconds, Face ID, notifications for goals and settlement. Doesn’t freeze in live — the market suspends less often than at competitors. Full app review.

Payments

Instant deposits (card, Revolut, IRIS, Skrill, Paysafecard). Withdrawals: Revolut 2–8 hours, card 1–2 working days, bank 1–3. Minimum withdrawal €10, no fee. The 7.5–20% tax on winnings above €100 per slip is applied automatically (as everywhere in Greece).

The cons

  • Streaming only on tennis, selected Euroleague and eSports — no Super League.
  • The casino has 1,200 games against 3,000+ at the big players.
  • Chat support replied in 2–7 minutes — fine, but weekend nights reach 15.

Verdict

If you mainly play big leagues, Champions League and Euroleague, Fonbet is one of the most competitive options with a Greek licence. Start with code BOO520 and try the Free Bet before putting in your own money. Comparison with the main rival: Fonbet vs Stoiximan.

Confirmed on withdrawals — Revolut within 6 hours, Stoiximan used to take me 2 days. The only thing that bugs me is no Super League streaming.

Agreed on streaming, I listed it in the cons. From what support told me, Greek rights are up to the organiser, not the operator.

The 500 Free Spins gave me €38 and I played them normally on Over 2.5. The code worked, just note: the phone has to be verified before the Free Bet.

Why 4.3 and not 4.5? The Champions League odds are among the best I’ve seen on a Greek licence.
