Six weeks, two phones, about 90 slips from mobile. Fonbet’s app is one of the lightest on the Greek market — and that has pros and cons.
Installation
iOS: App Store, 84 MB, iOS 15+. Android: like every bookmaker in Greece it’s not on the Play Store — you download the APK from Fonbet’s site (58 MB, Android 8+). Chrome will ask permission for “unknown sources”; that’s normal.
Speed
| Action | Fonbet | Stoiximan | Novibet |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cold start | 1.5 s | 2.8 s | 2.1 s |
| Open live match | 0.6 s | 1.2 s | 0.9 s |
| Live slip acceptance | 3–5 s | 5–8 s | 4–6 s |
| Battery (1 h live) | 6% | 11% | 8% |
Fonbet wins everywhere. The live screen doesn’t load video unless you ask — hence the battery.
Live and Bet Builder
Live has a match tracker, stats (possession, shots, xG in big games) and in-play Bet Builder. The market suspends on goals/penalties/VAR like everywhere, but reopens in 10–15 seconds — at Stoiximan often 30+.
Notifications
Per match or per team: kick-off, goal, half-time, full-time, slip settlement, Cash Out available. Goal alerts arrived 2–4 seconds before TV (streaming, not terrestrial).
Security
Face ID / fingerprint, auto-logout after 15 minutes (adjustable), deposit and time limits from the “Responsible gaming” menu without contacting support.
What’s missing
- Live-score widget (iOS) — none.
- Dark mode — only automatic with the system, not manual.
- Streaming — limited, see the Fonbet review.
Rating: 4.5 / 5. The best app for live betting on a Greek licence right now. If you don’t have an account, the registration guide explains how to open one from your phone.
